MESSAGE FROM YOUR STATE SECOND VICE PRESIDENT

Hope you are staying cool during these warm summer months.

It has been a busy personal month for me, but it didn’t stop me from attending a few things.

July 20th, I attended the Bob Moresco Memorial BBQ in Watsonville. What a great turnout of support.  We had food, live music, a raffle and great fun socializing. I won a raffle prize to a San Francisco 49er game, scheduled for August 9th. I am not a huge football fan, but I have a friend who is a big 49er fan. I invited her to attend with me. She gave me a 49er shirt to wear, and we had a blast. Great memories being made.

On August 3rd I attended Roma Lodge’s regular meeting but this month the Junior members got to run things. They did an excellent job. They even initiated 6 new members into the order. Afterwards there were backpacks and bags of school supplies for them to pick up. It is always a great experience for our junior members. It introduces them to public speaking and being in front of a group.  Great building blocks for their future.
